Canonically it is the fifth game in the series, but it is the eleventh main installment overall. It is the sequel to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes released the year before and a prequel to the original Metal Gear. The gameplay borrows and expands upon most of the mechanics introduced in Ground Zeroes, which was a smaller slice in content in anticipation of this title. The game is set in 1984 with Big Boss also known as Punished "Venom" Snake as the protagonist. It takes place in Afghanistan and the border between Angola and Zaire as Big Boss seeks revenge against the Cipher group led by Skull Face who destroyed his forces and almost killed him in Ground Zeroes. At the start of the game he wakes up in a military hospital in Cyprus and is almost immediately attacked by soldiers and a strange, burning creature. Phenomenal

god, this book was so refreshing! as i’m sure any sapphic book enthusiast who also shares a love for women’s soccer (sorry, i’m american) would agree! it was incredibly well-written and teeming with swoon-worthy moments as well as plenty of wonderfully accurate depictions of the women’s game. and i have to say, as a USWNT and arsenal fan, the fact that this book and its characters had me rooting for england and a london-based team that weren’t my gunners is just a testament to how good it actually is (as only leah williamson can get me to pull for the lionesses in un-patriotic enthusiasm). seriously, read this book! it’s wonderful!

Sweet Fairytale treat

This book was a sweet read. If you’re looking for something lite reading, this is it. I will say that 75% through you really got to the heavy side of the book but it was balanced. I did love Ash’s mom’s character. I would recommend reading if you want something happy and short.

For Royalty Sake
Format: Paperback
Clare Lydon does it again. The inclusion of the royal family dynamics combined with the use of infamous landmarks like Balmoral Castle and Buckingham Palace were exquisite. The storyline of the footballer, Ashleigh so authentic to England and princess, Victoria, so believable. I loved the characters portrayed whether Ash’s friends or the Queen Mother. They were just perfection. I loved this story. Great job.
